Captain Dan Beaudoin is a native of Gatineau, Quebec and started his firefighting career with the Canadian Armed Forces in 1981. He began his career with the DND as a Recruit Firefighter and became Platoon Chief, operational in both official languages (French and English). Captain Beaudoin has skills in emergency firefighting procedures and is a Fire Service Instructor of: Structural Fires, Aircraft Rescue Firefighting, Automobile fires and Casualty Extrication Ops, Confined Spaces, Special Problem Fires, Shipboard Firefighting, Hazardous Material incidents, Classroom Instruction, Fire Inspections, Fire Investigation, Medical Ops, and Training Ops. After 22 years service with the DND, Captain Beaudoin accepted the position of Fire Service Instructor in August of 2003.
Captain Beaudoin is certified by International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and Oklahoma State University for the following National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards:
